Review policy

At the Temple Of Technology we review a lot of products every year. We try to be as fair as possible, both to the consumer and the manufacturer. This document is a guideline on how we conduct our reviews and what companies sending in products for review can expect.

We have three different sources for the products we review:

1.) A retailer or distributor send us a review sample.

2.) We buy some products for our personal systems, and write reviews of those products.

3.) A manufacturer sends a review sample.

In an ideal situation we would go out and buy all the products we review in order to ensure that our results match the shipping versions, but several factors prevent that. The most obvious is the financial factor. This site doesn't generate enough income for us to buy a lot of hardware that we in most situations can get for free. We would also loose access to products before they are released.

Information for companies sending products for review:

# We do NOT return any review samples we get unless other arrangements have CLEARLY been agreed upon. We simply don't have the time or the money to do so.

# Always contact the editor before sending us a review sample, or we can't guarantee a review.

# We ALWAYS print the truth as we see it, but in order to prevent mistakes from being published we always contact the manufacturer if we have any major problems, and when the review is done, we give them a chance to read through it to discover any factual mistakes in the review.
